All Eyes On Me the film based on the life of rapper Tupac Shakur made $27 million opening weekend finishing number three behind Cars 3 and Wonder Woman at the box office. The film even though criticized by stars who knew the rapper, and film critics managed to earn grade A CinemaScore from moviegoers. All Eyes On Me finished above box office expectation and earned more than the 2009 biopic Notorious ($20 million) but below 2015 Straight Outta Compton ($60 million). The Lionsgate Codeblack film starred newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr., actress Kat Graham and Danai Gurira from Walking Dead. Directed by music video director Benny Boom the film premiered on what would have been Shakur’s 46th Birthday.
