Finals Game 1 TV ratings set a record
Miami
vs. Oklahoma was the series and the teams the people wanted
to see and the ratings reflected that. Tuesday nights NBA
game was the highest rated game for ABC.
The game put the star player Kevin Durant going head to
head with LeBron James and company. Both stars are looking
for their first championship. The game gained 11.8 share,
which equals about 16.2 million viewers blowing out the
competition and giving ABC the highest rated channel for
the night.
Good news for NBA and ABC since Miami is the 16th biggest
market and Oklahoma is the 44th. Both far away from one and
two but were able to gain big ratings and steer excitement.
Hate him or love him the public is very interested in
LeBron James.
